In late June this year, I travelled to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I honestly had the most amazing time, so I decided to share a blog post with you all. I was there for three days but managed to fit a lot in with such a short schedule. I wanted to share some of the places we visited, where we stayed, what we ate and more! I also made a travel vlog which I've linked below for you to check out if you haven't seen it already!
OUR HOTEL:
We stayed at The InterContinental in Kuala Lumpur. It was so beautiful! it was so convenient for us because it was right near all the main attractions and the view was just gorgeous! With our hotel, we also got free breakfast every morning which was perfect! If you end up staying here, you have to get the egg white omelette - it was to die for! The hotel also has free WiFI so you don't have to worry about paying extra for internet.

WHERE WE ATE:
Malaysian food is honestly one of my favourite! These are a few restaurants you NEED to go to if you're ever in Kuala Lumpur!!
Sanoook! If you love Thai and Japanese food, you will LOVE this place! We had lunch here after we shopped and the food was actually so good! They're famous for their sushi burgers, so I would highly recommend trying them! I actually tried the salmon sushi burger while I was there, and it was amazing. If you're a seafood/sushi person, this is the place to go.
The Manhattan Fish Market! This was my favourite Malaysian restaurant!! We ate here twice because the food was SO DELICIOUS!! This is the perfect place for any seafood lover. Writing this makes me miss the food so much! I got the spaghetti in the sea, which you definitely need to try. They also have really good lobster platters!! And if you don't like seafood, they have some amazing chicken dishes.
Din Tai Fung! This is a great place to go for lunch. I would definitely suggest trying the dumplings and the shrimp fried rice. So yummy!

WHAT WE DID:
The first place we visited were the Petronas Twin Towers! This is definitely a must if you go to Malaysia. The photo-ops are endless and the view is breathtaking. You can basically see the whole city from the top.

Another must is the Batu Caves! It was my favourite place we went to because there was so much to do! You had to climb up stairs to get into the actual cave (definitely worth it though). If you didn't want to go into the caves, there were other sights to see near the area. There were stalls with food and a place where you could get henna tattoos in 5 minutes!

Another place we went to was the Royal Palace. We couldn't actually go inside the palace and explore, but we did get to take some awesome photos! There's also a little garden section which I thought was so beautiful and a perfect place to have a little photoshoot. Overall, I think this place is perfect for anyone who wants some cool pictures for Instagram.

The Kuala Lumpur City Gallery is another place perfect for someone who wants to take some cute Instagram photos! I think everyone who visits Malaysia has a photo in front of the "I love KL" sign. Well, this is where you find that famous sign! The gallery itself is also well decorated and so colourful! They have a room with a mini version of the Kuala Lumpur city that lights up in the dark, so it's definitely worth checking out! They also have a cafe inside the gallery, and I recommend getting the blueberry muffin from there because it's so good!

If you have a sweet tooth, Beryl's Chocolate Kingdom is the place to be! They have so much chocolate that'll satisfy any chocolate cravings you have. You can try the different chocolates and purchase anything you like to take home with you. But be careful with your belongings as I've heard about the many pickpocketing incidents that occur.

Last thing that I have to share with you guys are places to shop! Not gonna lie, I found that most of the shops had the same prices as the stores we have in Australia. The two shopping centres we went to were The Pavilion and Suria KLCC. They both had pretty much the same stores, but I preferred The Pavilion because the layout made it much easier to find stores. The two shopping centres are basically connected to each other so it works out perfect if you plan to have a massive shopping spree! The stores I went to were Forever 21 and Nose Intl. Oh, they also have a Starbucks if you're feeling a bit basic!!

If you're down to buy some knock off items, I suggest going to Chinatown!! The items are pretty cheap, obviously considering they're knock offs. They also have food stalls and entertainment. We went here on our last day and I'm so glad we did because it was the perfect way to end our trip.

That's it for my Malaysia travel guide! If you're travelling to Malaysia, I hope this guide helped you out! Happy travelling :) x
